The Planning Division manages a broad scope of programs and activities ranging from annexation for future development to shaping neighborhoods and communities to promoting redevelopment. Our goals are clear: business growth, create jobs and establish and maintain a healthy business environment in Weslaco. Our City reaches these goals by efficiently and effectively providing direct services to local businesses, residents, visitors and development and construction community, including planning and land development, building permitting, inspection and safety, business licensing, special event permitting, and pre-development consultation assistance.
